Hi my name is Carol Gray; I was diagnosed with thyroid disease about 10 years ago. Right now, I’m going with 10 years but this number can change from time to time depending on my brain fog (It’s definitely somewhere around there). About that time, I received the official diagnosis of Grave’s disease and then given RAI, which put me into hypothyroidism. My thyroid levels swing back and forth quite often, so much so, that my Endo believed I acquired Hashi’s as well, but I was never officially diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditis. I am the author of Wow Your Mom Really is Crazy, a humorous “guide” to coping with thyroid disease. Sometimes we need a good laugh, in order to get through this crazy, messed up disease. I am currently working on two books, one will be an e-book only, about vitamins and my other writing features the life story of Judy Kirby, a fellow thyroidian who was sentenced to 215 years in prison for confusingly driving the wrong way on a poorly constructed highway, killing seven people. Part of her story is in my current book, but I felt compelled to dedicate her entire story in another book, as something like this could happen to any one of us thyroid sufferers.
